Public Funding and Medical Standards

Countries such as France, Denmark, and the Netherlands maintain clear abortion policies based on medical standards.

These frameworks provide certainty for patients and clinicians, particularly around fetal viability.

Alberta currently lacks the same clarity.

Establishing a public funding standard at 24 weeks would align Alberta with modern medical practice.  This would help ensure compassionate care to protect the health of both mothers and babies.

How We Drive Change

Step 1: Collect 100,000 supporters across Alberta


Step 2: A private citizen launches a citizen initiative and 200,000 in-person signatures are collected


Step 3: Hold a province-wide referendum vote
